Other than that, I'll reiterate that joining the discord and asking questions is the best way to get better fast. All Realm Grinder Hidden Trophies Clues and Hints It won't be optimal, but the best high gem Merc build for the parts few years, Lightning Forge, is literally a Fairy package and then clicking every high number. You can make a good build just clicking the largest numbers. Of those 6, DW8/DD9 are definitely weaker, but the others are incredibly strong. ![]() What I refer to as the "6 Gods" of Merc upgrades are: GB1 DD1 DN3 TT6 DW8 DD9. I think the first way to getting better at builds is to have a singular idea behind them, and fill in a package of top tier prod upgrades with a couple things that work towards that goal. Each faction has some exclusive upgrades, and it's important to take use of them. While in a vacuum neutral might be the best for regen, you're probably better off in G-mercs if you really want this build (although I don't recommend them, they suck A0). Offline production also generally sucks, because you don't get spells and that's a massive hit.Ī final note: is why are we using neutral? You're not using any of the reasons to play neutral, foremostly DD4/TT9, and you aren't using lightning strike. UD9 I have to assume is here to try to get the build to produce offline? If that's the case, why are we using combo strike, the spell that wants to be left on overnight. It's fun, and seems like maybe it could be good, but it's just really bad for production, because you're not even doubling how many of a building you have, so it's worse than an upgrade that just says "+100% production". There's a couple seemingly random upgrades, namely DN2 and UD9. If we're spending this long on the run then why do we need any faction coin production? And all the regen means we should just be able to TC for it anyways. This package also contradicts with the faction coin one. Combo strike similarly is just too slow, it scales fine, but it's slow, although nowhere near as slow. 1000% bonus isn't enough to get an upgrade even looked at. To get to 1000% bonus needs almost Three Million seconds. After a day of playtime, it's not even a 100% bonus. It's slow but honestly it's not garbage but slow builds generally are. Next up is the IGOT (it grows over time) package of DW4, DN6, and CS. You either have to take bad upgrades to get your regen based ones to work, or your regen based ones suck. In general, mana regen builds aren't really a thing as Merc, as either A0 they're just bad (even though Tricaster has lots of regen, it isn't a regen build, it just uses the regen to rush well), or in A1/3 you're mana leaking easily anyways. AN3/AN6 are fairly bad, as even if we assume that AN9 and DN8 scaled linearly (they very much do not), you're still looking at 1.4 4 and 1.6 4 times production bonus respectively (more spells, GH, AN9, DN8), you get 3.84x and 6.55x bonuses respectively, which are equivalent to 284%/555% prod bonuses from upgrades. Even with all the work you've put in, those upgrades combined aren't giving you more production than just taking 5 prod upgrades. There's a mana package in here, with AN3, AN6, DW4, EL9, AN9, DN8, and GH. Faction coin chance in 0% is a linear bonus from Elfline and that's it, so it's usually not worth taking at all. On the topic of faction coin upgrades, DW2 is additive, which makes it work with elfline. ![]() It looks like it's a rush build from Elfline (which has its primary benefit in making runs set up fast), and the faction coin upgrades (EL1, DW2). So, let's start with the basics: What is this build trying to do? Also, you should join the discord at if you want to learn more about the game! You can find all the upgrades on the Not a Wiki. Before we start, I'm going to be using the abbreviated upgrade notation, so e.g FR3 is the third fairy upgrade, or DD8 is the 8th druid one.
